A place where the community can access information, gain support, participate in recreational and educational activities, come for a cuppa, all within a safe place.
The Woodbine Neighbourhood Centre (WNC) was originally based at Bungan Place Woodbine and known as the Woodbine Community Cottage, in 1982/83.
In 1985 the Campbelltown Council build the Woodbine Neighbourhood Centre on North Steyne Road Woodbine and this Centre was opened to the public in May 1986.
Since then the centre has grown and offers the Macarthur Region many educational and recreational programmes and other various services.
WNC is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity funded by The Department of Communities & Justice (DCJ) and managed by a Volunteer Management Committee.
WNC also relies on donations and fundraisers to assist with offering a wide range of programmes and services.
The Woodbine Neighbourhood Centre aims:
To support and encourage individuals to connect with and participate in the local community
Provide information about local services, groups and activities
Provide the community with access to resources available, both at the Centre and in the wider community
To provide a safe and friendly environment to all users of the centre.
